Seniors Leadership Conference at Loon Lake [Recap]

Can you believe it’s February already? Also, Happy Lunar New Year to everyone! Lunar New Year was January 28.

I want to share my experience from the senior leadership conference that happened January 23rd to 24th held at loon lake lodge. As their event photographer, it was a bit overwhelming and exhausting, but it was also fun while it lasted.

There is the post by Linda (one of our senior leaders) with her own views here:

For me, the highlight of the conference was hearing all the participants speak about their contributions and volunteer experience at Frog Hollow. Then they shared their tips. It was amazing to learn that many have become more involved in the community, is more social, and even learned to speak a good amount of English.

Some of the other activities we have done were exploring the site, team building, chair yoga, indigo tie dye scarfs, art showcase planning and more. Group activities were facilitated by Manda and Ashley.

On the first day, after the morning workshops and having lunch, we walked along the trails. Some of us had the chance to explore the scenic views and the snow —Yes, there was quite a lot of snow there, but trails were shovelled and clean.

A lot of the participants really enjoyed the tie dyed workshop (thanks to Gloria for her guidance).
