Apples peeled and chopped
A snapshot of the essential ingredients for canning.
Sterilizing is a very important part of canning
We chopped and peeled like crazy!
These apples came from our food rescue program
Spectacular!
Scrumptious!
Yes! Thats right! Cranberry sauce with Quince and Ginger, yum yum.
Dont over cook! And careful not to spill any.
Mmmm you can smell the blend of ginger, sugar, orange zest and cinnamon!
15 minutes later and Ta daa!
How about roasting peppers on the gas stove!
This stove top method works really well! I had no idea!
As the flames lick the peppers, they begin to blister and blacken and once the peppers are cooled we peel the skin and add to a special blend before canning.
We hope to get together for more canning lessons. Thank you so much Lisa for leading the group! You made such a difference!
Thanks for reading. 🙂
