June 18

Well our quinoa didn’t grow this year, so we are planting other things in its place.

Maybe will try again next year and try and put in seedlings first instead of direct seeding and see if that helps any.

In the meantime here are some new additions to our garden

New plants in the garden June 18

A few of the new plants that were added to the garden on Saturday

The tomatillo that we planted last week is doing well. First time planting it and I am excited to see what the fruit looks and taste like.

Chinese Cabbage

Planted Chinese cabbage in two different spots. In the greens bed and in the hot bed on the end. We will see which ones do best. Lots of Romaine lettuce coming up behind the cabbage

Lemon Basil

The lemon basil tastes amazing. Lets see if it stays there and if it grows!

This little fellow is a small cucumber plant, hopefully soon to be a big cucumber plant. We may put up a trellis if necessary and see if we can get it to grow up the trellis

Another first for our garden!

Hot Pepper

Jalapeno pepper, tomatillo , tomatoes, looks like we may have some good salsa mix coming in!
